So in this blog article, I decided to try to help you find ways to get beyond this so that you can get back to writing your book and eventually getting it published. Here is a video that I hope will help you with this.
You would think that, although I have personally self-published ten books that this wouldn't still grab ahold of me today, but it still does. I have to motivate myself each and every day to sit down and just write. You wouldn't think I would have to do this since writing is my passion, but like I said, I still do have to motivate myself. Of course, what does help me with this is seeing the books that I have already published. Having the finished product of my books that I can hold in my hand does help me with my current and future writing projects. If you don't have at least one book published yet then you are going to have to imagine what it will be like to hold your physical book in your hand.
Here is a video of person unpackaging their paperback book. If you haven't published yet, pay close attention to the person's reaction at holding her book, and try to put yourself in that person's place. Believe me, this should help motivate you to sit down and hopefully write your book to completion so that you can one day have a day like this person.
I can tell you from my own experience that there is no greater feeling than holding your own paperback book in your hand. It will be one of the happiest moments for you when you hold your completed book knowing that you finally accomplished something that many people do not.
In my next blog entry, I'm going to discuss tips on how to finish writing your book.
So stay tuned!
